"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus. He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."
And that's what Cho-yeong Su did as he led the KGB to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Hitmen.
"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," the Lauderhill manager said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."
Su yielded 2 hits and had 5 strikeouts and no walks in a standout performance.
In 2012 thus far, Su has tossed 100.2 innings in 13 starts, fanned 63 batters, walked 26 and put up a 1.25 ERA with 8 wins and 3 losses.

It was a dazzling performance by Ramão Janurio of the Quebec Stallions. He shut out the Lauderhill Hitmen 2-0 on a brilliant 5-hitter, ringing up 3 strikeouts and issuing no walks.

The Sluggers whipped the Hitmen 10-4 at Sluggers Ballpark and José Luna had a big hand in the win. The Sluggers second baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Luna and a tough day for Lauderhill.
"I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."
Plan or not, Luna delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league.
J. Luna walked in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This season Luna is batting at a .255 clip with no home runs and 8 RBIs.
