Saturday, July 19th, 2014: Ramos Batters Ulaanbaatar for 5 Hits
5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Júlio Ramos of the Aberdeen Orioles had a sensational 5-5 game against Ulaanbaatar at Aberdeen Fields. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 11-5 shellacking of the Barbarians.

In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?"

J. Ramos singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off A. Herrera in the 8th.

On the season, Ramos is batting .277 with 2 home runs and 14 RBIs. He has played in 43 games.

D. Elfrougui singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

Tuesday, June 17th, 2014: Blaze Rositas No-Hits Orioles
In a dominant outing, Jesús Rositas of Barranquilla totally silenced the bats of the Aberdeen Orioles. In the 7-0 victory he faced only 30 batters, surrendered no hits, had 2 strikeouts and 4 walks.

"I'll be very honest with you," his manager said. "I didn't know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning. I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had. Then I happened to notice that they didn't have any hits."

Commenting on his defeat, the losing manager told reporters in the clubhouse how he saw the game, "Well, it was pretty simple today, the Blaze had all the hits and all the runs. And Rositas pitched a heck of a ballgame."
