Wednesday, July 30th, 2014: Medrano Dominates Cannibals in Shutout
The Ocean Park Valiants got a great effort from Juan Medrano as the 22-year-old hurler tossed a complete-game 3-0 shutout over the Donner Lake Cannibals. He struck out 3 while allowing 4 hits and walking 2.

Up to now Medrano has recorded a record of 5-2. In 11 starts he has fanned 13 batters in 77.2 innings with a 2.78 ERA.

Thursday, July 10th, 2014: Sharks Green Smacks 5 Hits
There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Ted Green of the Miami Sharks had one of those moments when he went 5 for 6 at the plate today in the 10-6 win over the Ocean Park Valiants at Miami Grounds.

The 21-year-old second baseman told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe."

T. Green grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 9th.

So far in 2014 Green is batting .297 with 2 home runs, 20 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 43 hits in 145 at-bats and a .316 OBP.

Sunday, June 29th, 2014: Tetreault Sizzles, Ocean Park Fizzles
"He's mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," the Citrus Heights manager said. "When Tetreault does that, good things happen."

These comments came after Crawford Tetreault and the Citrus Heights Spartans shut out the Ocean Park Valiants 4-0.

He had 6 strikeouts, no walks and allowed 5 hits.

So far this year Tetreault has made 6 starts, tossed 43.1 innings, struck out 30 batters and walked 10. His record is 4-1 with a 2.08 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .225 batting average.
