| Breaking News | | Thursday, August 23rd, 2012: Bowling Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits All game long Clinton's Ross Bowling was rattling the walls at Railcats Ballpark and banging out base hits against the Rouen Raiders. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Railcats had a 11-3 victory.
Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 22-year-old first baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."

"Chávez certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
The Clinton starter tamed the Darwin Frenzy 8-0 with a 5-hit shutout, finishing the game with 4 strikeouts and no walks in a sharp outing.
"I enjoy facing a team like that where I can get an out on one, two or three pitches," Chávez said. "It gives me a chance to be a lot more aggressive."
On his stats sheet this season Chávez shows a 4-2 record, 6 starts, 42.1 innings, 25 strikeouts and a 2.13 ERA. | | Friday, July 6th, 2012: Bennett Cracks 5 Hits 5 times is a charm -- at least in the world of baseball. When a player gets 5 or more hits in a game, he is honored in the record book. The latest honoree is Stu Bennett of the Clinton Railcats.
Today he beat up their pitching to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it was the Cork Saints that salvaged a 11-7 victory at Railcats Ballpark.
"Bennett was a tough out today," the Cork manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure. I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win."
Speaking to the SION writers, Bennett added, "It was a real good day for me individually, but not a good one for the team. No loss is a good one."
S. Bennett singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 8th.
Bennett is presently hitting at a .360 pace with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs. He has played in 6 games and scored 6 times. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Position in Division | 1st, - GB | | Record at home | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record on the road | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 0-0, .000 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 0-0, .000 PCT |
