"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 19-year-old shortstop said after his record-setting performance.
E. Lawrence doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off F. Gutiérrez in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

It was a big day with the bat for Shoichi Okada of the Miami Sharks at Miami Grounds as he bashed out hit after hit after hit to defeat Darwin 28-4.
To the press after the ballgame he modestly said, "Guys, it's just one game in a long season. I hit it hard and found some holes today. 5 hits in 6 tries. But my hits are not the big thing in the game. The victory is the important thing. That's the story."
