It seemed that Petaluma second baseman Pedre Giada could do no wrong today, but it still didn't come out right. The Atheists still dropped the game to the Loons by the score of 8-6. He did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Rochester prevailed in the ballgame at Atheists Stadium.
"I felt real good today, but my best just wasn't enough. We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play. The balls just fell in for base hits. Some days they do that," Giada explained in the postgame press interview.
P. Giada singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
Giada is hitting .438 so far this season with 6 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has 14 hits including no home runs, no walks and .412 OBP.

 | Wednesday, July 23rd, 2014: Immerrechts Hitless, Stopped by Hooligans
Ivan Immerrechts's 20-game hitting streak was snapped today at Brewmasters Ballpark. The 21-year-old Loons right fielder failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats in the game with the Waverly Hooligans, but Rochester came out the winner, topping them 7-6.
One of his teammates told BNN, "The streak was no big deal to Ivan. He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames. That's the bottom line."
So far in 2014, Immerrechts is batting .392 with no home runs and 10 RBIs.

| Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014: Immerrechts Has 20-Game Hitting Streak
Rochester right fielder Ivan Immerrechts keeps on racking up hits in every game he plays in. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit in today's game.
"I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out. I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've been a little lucky," said Immerrechts after the Loons 3-2 victory over the Hooligans.
I. Immerrechts walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
In 38 games this season Immerrechts has compiled a .408 batting average with 31 hits and no home runs. He has also scored 15 times and knocked in 10 runs.
