Monday, July 7th, 2014: Czartoryski Raps Cartagena for 5 Hits
5 hits in a game has always been a magic number in baseball. Only a handful of players will do that. Get 5 hits in a game and you get your moment of glory... your 5 minutes of fame... you get your name in the record book.

In the Chiefs 23-1 win over Cartagena, Wlodzimierz Czartoryski was red-hot today, scorching them for hit after hit at Chiefs Ballpark.

"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax. I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I must admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for a 5-hit game. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."

On his big day Czartoryski delivered 5 hits in 5 at-bats.

W. Czartoryski doubled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th and hit a three-run home run off J. Unknown in the 6th.

This season Czartoryski is hitting at a .298 pace with 4 home runs, 43 RBIs and has scored 40 times.
