The Water Buffalos were defeated 9-6 today at Water Buffalos Ballpark by the Cane Fires, but you can't say Ramón Reyes didn't give it his best try. The Water Buffalos third baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Reyes and a tough day for Davao.
"I just go up there and swing away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."
No plan or not, Reyes delivered today...5-5 is outstanding in any league.
R. Reyes singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 9th.

The Macaws manager was philosophical after his team was shut out by the Davao Water Buffalos 3-0.
"It was just one of those games, shake it off and do better next time," he said.
Su-gyung Cho blanked them on 5 hits with 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs. They were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Cho said.
"I set them up pretty good, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
Cho in 2013 has fashioned a 7-10 mark, 4.80 ERA and thrown 122 innings in 19 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .302 against him.

 | Sunday, May 26th, 2013: Ramsdell Goes 5-6
History in the making. That's what the fans at Dragons Stadium got to see today, when Taipei outplayed the Water Buffalos 8-4. Bruce Ramsdell of the Dragons came to the plate 6 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Davao.
In the postgame press conference the Davao skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."
B. Ramsdell singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a GRAND SLAM off J. Unknown in the 11th.
So far in 2013, Ramsdell is batting .262 with 1 home run and 29 RBIs.
