"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Reno left fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-5 will."

He certainly had their number at the plate in this record-making 5-5 performance.
The sweet swinging left fielder told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."
The skipper of the Blaze wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
J. González singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off R. Martínez in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
