Jack Sanders of the Alaska Sled Dogs put the clamps on the opposition and held the Andean Fat Stealers scoreless in a 3-hit whitewash.
"He's got some good stuff, but we should have done better than that," said the Andean skipper after the 10-0 loss.
Sanders was on target most of the game and finished with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks.
In 2014 Sanders has worked 71.1 innings with 11 strikeouts en route to a 4-6 record and 5.93 ERA.

 | Sunday, July 20th, 2014: Swords Hooper Smacks 5 Hits
"It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Sendai shortstop J.J. Hooper said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the Alaska Sled Dogs at Swords Ballpark. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
The Swords had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 15-2.
J. Hooper hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run double in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off M. Holcombe in the 7th.
For the year Hooper is batting .286 with 122 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 51 times and driven in 61.

 | Saturday, July 19th, 2014: Sled Dogs Lose Rosales for Season
The season is apparently over for José Rosales. The Alaska Sled Dogs medical staff informed the club that the second baseman will be out at least 7 months with a torn back muscle. Rosales was hurt in the game against Sendai while throwing the ball. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
So far this season Rosales is hitting .316 with no home runs, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 38 at-bats and a .333 OBP.
