| Breaking News | | Saturday, August 3rd, 2013: Yi Tosses Shutout Against Hagerstown Madagascar pitcher Seok-ki Yi gave the Hagerstown Hawks fits today as he blanked them 7-0 on 3 hits. He registered 6 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout.
His manager said, "When he's locating his pitches, he becomes unpredictable. He had Hagerstown guessing the entire game."
In 2013 Yi has compiled a 10-9 record with a 3.33 ERA. | | Wednesday, July 10th, 2013: Corosi Magnificent in Knoxville Win Eugenio Corosi was dynamite today and just blew Knoxville away in the 1-0 victory. The Hagerstown Hawks starter had everything working as he hurled a 4-hit shutout over the Tornados, recording 4 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"He was pure nasty out there today. I don't think any team in the would've had a chance against what he was bringing," said the Knoxville skipper during his postgame press conference.
In 6 starts this year Corosi has fashioned a 1-2 record and a 3.51 ERA. | | Wednesday, June 5th, 2013: Bell Stops Tasmanian Cold Robert Bell was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Devils. He shut them out 3-0 on 2 hits with 1 strikeout and 1 walk.
The Hagerstown manager said, "Robert was very aggressive tonight. He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
The losing manager had praise, too. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well. Bell has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that offspeed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
Year-to-date Bell has made 12 starts and put up a 5-4 won-lost record with a 3.27 ERA. In 82.2 innings he has allowed 102 hits, walked 23 and struck out 34. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 67-53, .558 PCT | | Position in Division | 3rd, 1.0 GB | | Record at home | 32-28, .533 PCT | | Record on the road | 35-25, .583 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 5-3, .625 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 19-15, .559 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 27-12, .692 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 40-41, .494 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 4-6, .400 PCT | | Record in April | 19-9, .679 PCT | | Record in May | 20-9, .690 PCT | | Record in June | 13-12, .520 PCT | | Record in July | 12-17, .414 PCT | | Record in August | 3-6, .333 PCT |
