| Breaking News |  | Monday, July 15th, 2013: Belize Blanked by Mejía Sancho Mejía of the Victoria Grizzlies spun his magic on the Belize Criollos today. He blanked them 6-0 on 3 hits, registering 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Mejía said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Victoria skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone."

His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again."
So far this year Mejía has made 17 starts, tossed 102.2 innings, struck out 55 batters and walked 35.
