| Breaking News |  | Friday, August 1st, 2014: Jiménez of Belize WL Batter of the Month
Even though he is a newcomer to GUBA Double A, Juan Jiménez put up some good numbers in July and brought home the WL Batter of the Month trophy.
He was one of Belize's offensive leaders with a .325 average in 23 games. He also racked up 9 home runs, 26 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
This year Jiménez is batting .263 with 21 home runs.

 | Saturday, June 21st, 2014: Belize's Madison Shuts out Thunderlizards
Andy Madison was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Thunderlizards. He shut them out 5-0 on 2 hits with 11 strikeouts and 1 walk.
The Belize manager said, "Andy was very aggressive tonight. He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
The losing manager had praise, too. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well. Madison has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that offspeed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
His record this season is 7-2 in 13 starts and Madison has a 4.03 ERA.

 | Monday, May 19th, 2014: Western League Player of the Week Selected
The Western League made it official today: Yaichiro Ine is the Player of the Week.
He really sparkled on the diamond this week with a .643 average to take home the trophy. The Belize center fielder went 9-14, drove in 7 runs, scored 5 times and hit 4 home runs.
To date this year Ine is batting .348 with 5 home runs.
