| Breaking News | | Monday, May 27th, 2013: Toughest Out of the Week Wins WL Award Britt Fleming of the Honolulu Sharks has just enjoyed one of the better weeks of his career. That fact was not lost on Western League officials, who named him Player of the Week.
Fleming logged a .444 batting average for the Honolulu Sharks, racking up 6 RBIs and 3 home runs.
Presently Fleming is batting .327 with 68 hits and 5 home runs. He has knocked in 28 runs and scored 31 times. | | Monday, May 13th, 2013: 5-6 Game for Perales What a day for José Perales of the Honolulu Sharks! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen everyday! He ripped Seoul pitching apart at Sharks Ballpark and sparked the Sharks to a 10-9 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing up his special day 5-6.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Perales told SION reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
J. Perales singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, doubled in the 10th and hit a two-run home run off D. Rivera in the 11th.
Thus far this season in 37 games Perales is batting .382 with 8 home runs, 33 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 58 hits in 152 at-bats. | | Monday, May 13th, 2013: Week's #1 Player - Honolulu's Perales Today the Western League announced the Player of the Week Award. Perales is batting at a .363 pace in 2013, picking up 53 hits in 146 at-bats with 7 home runs, 30 RBIs and 26 runs scored. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 48-53, .475 PCT | | Position in Division | 5th, 7.0 GB | | Record at home | 22-28, .440 PCT | | Record on the road | 26-25, .510 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 7-2, .778 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 17-15, .531 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 9-11, .450 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 39-42, .481 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 4-6, .400 PCT | | Record in April | 13-15, .464 PCT | | Record in May | 13-16, .448 PCT | | Record in June | 13-12, .520 PCT | | Record in July | 9-10, .474 PCT |
