Jean-Michel Garcia was on fire today and sparked his club to a 12-3 victory over the The Sundance Kids. The Perth left fielder was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against Robert Redford Presents in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in."
J. Garcia singled in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off É. Rolland in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th.
Garcia has collected 78 hits for the Brawlers this year, 4 of them home runs. He has also netted 28 RBIs and scored 40 runs while batting .250.

"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Perth's Cisco González told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turn out well for González today as he collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats against Long Neck. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Brawlers knocked off the Black Crows 8-7 at Field of the Brawlers.
C. González doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 9th, grounded out in the 11th and hit a solo-shot off C. Hines in the 13th.
In 2014 González has produced 87 hits in 338 at-bats for a .257 average with 4 home runs and gotten on base at a .304 clip.

 | Friday, May 30th, 2014: Leningrad's Vásquez Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
Leningrad first baseman Javier Vásquez put on quite a show at Communists Ballpark with a big 5-hit day in the 9-2 victory over the Perth Brawlers.
In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate... 5-5... wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average... and my salary, too."
J. Vásquez doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off S. Pérez in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off J. Gommers in the 8th.
In 2014 Vásquez is hitting .288 with 63 hits, 3 home runs, 24 RBIs, .305 OBP and has scored 23 runs.
