José Montaño of the Lisbon Mariners was lights out in a 4-hit whitewash of the Seoul Thunderlizards.
He told SION reporters, "I had my good stuff and it went where I wanted it to go."
He registered 2 strikeouts and no walks in shutting out Seoul 3-0.
To date in 2013, Montaño sports a 6-7 mark with a 4.32 ERA in 22 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .271 batting average and has 43 strikeouts in 133.1 innings. |
 | Wednesday, July 17th, 2013: Miller 5-5 Against Robert Redford Presents
If the Robert Redford Presents The Sundance Kids know how best to pitch the Seoul shortstop John Miller they didn't tip their hand today. Instead Miller showed he knew how best to hit them as he easily handled The Sundance Kids pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Thunderlizards to a 20-3 triumph at Thunderlizards Ballpark.
He told SION reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball."
The Robert Redford Presents skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we may just do that...blindfold him...and then pitch him differently, just to be sure."
J. Miller singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
This season Miller is batting .320 with 120 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 75 times and has 48 RBI.

"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Seoul's Duane Robinson told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turn out well for Robinson today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Robert Redford Presents. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Thunderlizards knocked off the The Sundance Kids 20-3 at Thunderlizards Ballpark.
D. Robinson singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season Robinson has 7 home runs and a .293 batting average.
