It was high-5 day at Storm Ballpark, at least for Arthur Berger of the Seattle Storm. He got a lot of high-5's for his outstanding hitting against the Arlington Heights Godzillas, but he and his teammates couldn't pull out a win. Berger smashed 6 hits in 6 at-bats on a his record-setting day, but Seattle still dropped the game 14-11.
His manager said, "Arthur was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him. Too bad the other guys couldn't rise to the occasion and get the victory."
In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN writers, "Berger bushwhacked my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, we won the ballgame."
A. Berger singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th.
Berger is batting .363 with 0 home runs and 23 RBIs this season.

 | Monday, June 30th, 2014: Hooper Sensational, 5-5
"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Arlington Heights's Tommy Hooper told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turn out well for Hooper today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Easley. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Godzillas knocked off the Unrecognizable Blobs 14-1 at Ballpark of Arlington Heights.
T. Hooper singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off K. Marszolkiewicz in the 8th.
Hooper is batting .319 this season in 78 games with 3 home runs, 34 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 90 hits in 282 at-bats.

 | Monday, June 23rd, 2014: McFerron on a Hot Streak, EL Player of the Week
21-year-old Aaron McFerron made a few Arlington Heights headlines during this past week as the rookie second baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Eastern League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 12 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .571 average. McFerron collected no home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
In 73 games this season McFerron has compiled a .327 batting average with 87 hits and 4 home runs. He has also scored 34 times and knocked in 43 runs.
