Bialas Cuber of the Tutuila Turtles put the clamps on the opposition and held the Pacific Grove Paladins scoreless in a 4-hit whitewash.
"He's got some good stuff, but we should have done better than that," said the Pacific Grove skipper after the 3-0 loss.
Cuber was on target most of the game and finished with 4 strikeouts and no walks.
This season Cuber has compiled a 6-9 mark with a 3.52 ERA in 17 starts.

"Believe it or not," said Pacific Grove center fielder Dave Whitney, "they threw me some good pitches today."
That would be hard to believe for anyone who saw him dispose of the Cartel with a great 5-hit performance.
"He made it look easy," said the Medellin manager, who saw his team fall to the Pacific Grove Paladins, 10-1. "Hats off to him!"
D. Whitney singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
To date this season Whitney is hitting .282 with no home runs.

What a day for Luis Sánchez of the Pacific Grove Paladins! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen every day! He ripped Tijuana pitching apart at Paladins Ballpark and sparked the Paladins to a 12-5 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing his special day 5 for 6.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Sánchez told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
L. Sánchez singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off J. Schultz in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
This season Sánchez is hitting .280 with 82 hits, 8 home runs, 35 RBIs, scored 34 runs and played in 74 games.
