| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, August 6th, 2014: Correa Shuts out Bluesmen
After his 6-0 shutout win against the Bluesmen, Jorge Correa said, "I went out there to try and eat up innings and help out our bullpen. I felt I had my good stuff... and it turned out my command was solid and my breaking balls were good."
They were better than good as the Captains pitcher put up 7 strikeouts, surrendered 2 walks, allowed 2 hits and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.
This season Correa has worked 161 innings with 130 strikeouts en route to a 12-5 record and a 3.07 ERA.

 | Tuesday, July 29th, 2014: Hitting Streak Still Alive for Rosado
Today Mario Rosado went 3-for-5 in the Congo Drums 6-4 victory over the Halifax Captains. This extended his hitting streak to 20 games. Rosado declined to comment for the media immediately after the game.
M. Rosado singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th and flied out in the 11th.
Rosado on the season is hitting .320 with 1 home run. His stats include 50 RBIs and 59 runs scored.

William Williams scattered 4 hits in going the distance in the Shanghai 5-0 victory over the Halifax Captains at Raiders Ballpark. The 24-year-old Williams whiffed 6 and allowed 2 walks in the game.
