Sunday, July 27th, 2014: McClure Bangs out 6 Base Hits
It seemed that Calgary shortstop Dave McClure could do no wrong as the Marauders kayoed the Racers 8-3 today as he rapped out 6 hits in 6 at-bats. Indianapolis pitchers couldn't get him out as McClure seemed to know which pitches they were throwing.

"I think the Marauders were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Indianapolis fan.

"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," exclaimed the jubilant McClure in the postgame press interview.

D. McClure singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off C. Burns in the 9th.

This season McClure is batting .281 with 104 hits, 2 home runs, 42 RBIs, .333 OBP and has scored 45 runs.

Tuesday, June 17th, 2014: Nakanishi Socks it to Knights, Cracks 5 Hits
On top of the Calgary hit parade today was Subaru Nakanishi. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Marauders to a 6-4 victory over the Oakland Knights. He certainly had their number at the plate in this record-making 5-5 performance.

The sweet swinging first baseman told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."

The skipper of the Knights wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

S. Nakanishi hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

During the current season Nakanishi is batting at a .250 clip with 2 home runs and 16 RBIs. He has played in 35 games and scored 15 times.

Tuesday, June 17th, 2014: Kojima 5-5 Against Calgary
It was an almost perfect day. Oakland left fielder Yukinaga Kojima displayed a hot bat today, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day. But something was missing -- the Knights failed to win -- they lost to the Calgary Marauders 6-4

"Some days, Lady Luck is on your side, some days she's not," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Yukinaga is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have, and vice versa."

The 26-year-old left fielder for the Knights collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats to get his name in the record book.

Y. Kojima singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

This season Kojima is batting .332 with 80 hits, 10 home runs, 47 RBIs, .367 OBP and has scored 30 runs.
