He tantalized the Melbourne Admirals with crisp curves and changeups, mixed in with just enough fastballs to keep the batters honest and came away with a 5-0 shutout.
In the postgame comments, the Melbourne skipper said, "He had the changeup working. You knew it was coming and you still grounded out -- and then he threw it even slower."
The San Diego hurler had 6 strikeouts, gave up 1 walk and surrendered 4 hits in his complete-game effort.
Morín told reporters after the game, "To be successful in this league, you have to keep the ball down. If you don't, they'll make you pay."

When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Anchormen had a 7-6 victory.
Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 22-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."
I. Grimard tripled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 11th.
