| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, September 16th, 2014: Outstanding Pitcher Award Presented to Yokoham Star
The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2014 has been presented and the Eastern League winner is Terry Jensen of Yokoham.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Jensen. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Throwing Stars star told reporters.
Jensen excelled with an impressive 15-7 record in 25 starts. In 193.1 innings he yielded 153 hits and 35 walks, while striking out 134 and compiling a fine 2.51 ERA.

Allegedly, Alberto Marquis has asked to be traded from Yokoham. It is rumored that he is unhappy with fans and the team management and that maybe the pressure and demands of playing here are too great.

In an impressive outing Yao-pang Tsung hurled nothing but zeros at the Throwing Stars today at Ballpark of Madrid. The Madrid pitcher allowed 6 hits, fanned 4 and walked 0 in blanking Yokoham 7-0.
So far this season Tsung has a 8-10 record, 21 starts, 157 innings, 74 strikeouts and a 3.67 ERA.
