| Breaking News |  | Saturday, August 16th, 2014: Torres Spins Shutout Against Bishops
Ricardo Torres of the New Orleans Crawdads just toyed with the Lublin Bishops today, blanking them 6-0. He was almost untouchable, baffling them on a 4-hit shutout with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Torres said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there."
One of his teammates said it was easy to play behind him today. "It was like he's just playing with the hitters and doing whatever he wanted to do."
To date in 2014, Torres sports a 2-5 mark with a 5.34 ERA in 5 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .312 batting average and has 32 strikeouts in 55.2 innings.

 | Friday, August 15th, 2014: Dee Pitches Lublin to Shutout Victory
The strong arm of Tan-ming Dee dealt a lot of misery to the Crawdads. He tossed a complete-game shutout to spark the Lublin Bishops to a 4-0 win. In today's contest at Bishops Ballpark, Dee limited New Orleans to 3 hits and had 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.
This season Dee has crafted a 15-9 mark with a 2.34 ERA in 203.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .233 against him and he has 140 strikeouts.

 | Thursday, July 31st, 2014: Streak Finally Over, Pak Hitless
The hitting streak that Quezon City first baseman Ki-heon Pak had going was ended today by the New Orleans Crawdads. Pak, who had hits in his previous 20 games, was stymied today, but the rest of his team picked him up, earning the Pearls a 14-5 victory at Pearls Ballpark. He was hitless in 4 at-bats.
"Hitting streaks come and go. One good thing came out of it, however, it perked up my batting average a little bit, but did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with the streak always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win."
So far this year Pak is batting .313 with 13 home runs, 68 RBIs and 64 runs scored.
