Marquette's Pedro Ramírez brought his "A game" to the park, shutting down and shutting out the New Delhi Llamas 3-0. He racked up 7 strikeouts, surrendered 6 hits and issued no walks on his way to the victory.
To date in 2013, Ramírez has registered 15 starts, 4-10 won-lost mark, 5.12 ERA, 102 IP, 96 strikeouts and 34 walks. Opposing teams have hit .296 against him.

José Rivera of the Tijuana Chupacabras spun his magic on the Marquette Suns today. He blanked them 5-0 on 3 hits, registering 3 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Rivera said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Tijuana skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone."
This year Rivera has 10 wins and 3 losses and a 3.16 ERA.

Yermolay Varzumov of the West Freehold Schooners spun his magic on the Marquette Suns today. He blanked them 4-0 on 3 hits, registering 6 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Varzumov said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the West Freehold skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone."
