This week's standout performer in the Eastern League was right fielder Javier Ibarra of the Royal City Outlaws.
He belted out a .500 average and was voted the Player of the Week. Over the last week Ibarra collected 13 hits in 26 at-bats and 1 home run, drove in 9 runs and scored 4 times.
This year Ibarra is batting .303 with 67 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 21 times and has batted in 27 runs.

Alberto Martínez went on a week-long batting spree against Eastern League pitchers and hauled in the Player of the Week trophy.
The Royal City third baseman battered the opposition for 15 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 9 runs. He hit .556 and posted a .536 on-base percentage.
This year Martínez is hitting .332 with 109 hits, 4 home runs, 45 RBIs and has scored 43 runs.

 | Saturday, June 22nd, 2013: Chrétien Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
Jonas Chrétien really sizzled at the plate today. The Pacolet center fielder blistered the Royal City Outlaws for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in his club's 8-6 defeat.
"Chrétien was too tough to get out today," the Outlaws skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win. That's the bottom line. We ain't playin' for stats."
J. Chrétien singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Currently Chrétien is batting .253 with 44 hits and 2 home runs. He has knocked in 13 runs and scored 14 times.
