Tuesday, November 27th, 2012: Reyes Comes to Terms with Coconuts
Sportswriters and pundits hailed Pago Pago's signing of Juan Reyes, one of Global Unified Baseball Association's brightest stars, as a pivotal move.

While the deal is certain to raise a few eyebrows, Reyes is expected to earn every bit of the $1,320,000 promised him over 1 year.

Reyes has a career record of 41-36 with a 4.34 ERA. In 263 games he has recorded 16 saves and the 30-year-old has 400 strikeouts in 704.2 innings of work.

Rumors circulating around town, say shortstop Joe Ross is not happy at all playing in Pago Pago and that the Coconuts are actively shopping him around.

Saturday, August 25th, 2012: Pago Pago Gets Shutout Win Over Tigers
On the hill Wang-fen Liu stood out and was the master of the moment as he blanked Taipei 9-0.

At bat the Tigers floundered, fizzled and failed to score.

"His fastball moves and he mixes in the slider," the Taipei manager said. "He kept us off balance."

The Pago Pago pitcher hurled a 4-hit shutout in an exceptional effort. He gave up 1 walk and numbered 10 strikeouts.

"I felt good," Liu said. "That's probably the best fastball I've had all season. I was able to locate it pretty well. They were super-aggressive, which helped me."

This season Liu has gone 14-8 with an ERA of 2.53, posting 212 strikeouts in 216.2 innings.
