| Breaking News | | Tuesday, September 4th, 2012: Rumor du Jour; Paris's Martínez Demanding Trade Rumors circulating around town, say starting pitcher Arturo Martínez is not happy at all playing in Paris and that the Guillotines are actively shopping him around. | | Saturday, August 18th, 2012: Volcanoes Long Blanks Guillotines Pao-tzu Long was sneaky fast, on the mark and hard to hit today. He blanked the Paris Guillotines 4-0 on 6 hits and had no walks and 5 strikeouts.
"You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," the Paris skipper told reporters after the shutout loss to the Manila Volcanoes.
"He just had a real deceiving fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
In 2012 Long has compiled a 13-8 mark with a 3.05 ERA in 25 starts. | | Friday, August 17th, 2012: 6-Hit Game for Hamada! It's not something you read in the sports pages everyday -- a 6-for-7 day. It may only come around once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Takeji Hamada got one today. He scattered hits all over Ballpark of Paris to pace Paris to a 8-6 victory over Manila.
The Manila skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Hamada hit several that he is not supposed to hit."
T. Hamada singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI triple in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and hit a two-run home run off A. White in the 14th.
Hamada has collected 141 hits for the Guillotines this year, 12 of them home runs. He has also netted 45 RBIs and scored 66 runs while batting .304. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 66-96, .407 PCT | | Position in Division | 6th, 36.0 GB | | Record at home | 31-50, .383 PCT | | Record on the road | 35-46, .432 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 8-15, .348 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 20-31, .392 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 21-27, .438 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 45-69, .395 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in April | 12-14, .462 PCT | | Record in May | 14-14, .500 PCT | | Record in June | 7-21, .250 PCT | | Record in July | 9-16, .360 PCT | | Record in August | 12-15, .444 PCT | | Record in September | 12-16, .429 PCT |
