| Breaking News | | Monday, April 30th, 2018: Federation of International Baseball Winner is Brown His teammates, fans, peers and even the BNN sportswriters all agreed that George Brown was worthy of the Federation of International Baseball Player of the Week Award.
During the week the Moscow catcher compiled a .600 batting average (12-20) with 1 home run, 3 runs batted in and scored 3 runs.
This season Brown is batting .370 with 34 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 12 times and has 12 runs batted in. | | Tuesday, April 24th, 2018: Shamrocks Chill Bennett's Hot Streak Moscow right fielder Andy Bennett came into today's game against the Dublin Shamrocks on a hot streak. When it was over, the Shamrocks did their job very well. They beat the Moscow Enforcers 6-5 and cooled him off at the same time. Dublin stopped Bennett without a hit and his 21-game hitting streak came to an end.
The 25-year-old Bennett only had a few words to say after the game, "I had a chance to do it and I came up short."
His manager commented, "What Andy did was exciting and quite an achievement. It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 21 games in a row. I'm really proud of him. And I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."
This season Bennett is hitting .353 with 1 home run. | | Sunday, April 22nd, 2018: Bennett's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.
Andy Bennett did it again. He bashed 1 hit in today's game and for the last 20 games in a row has collected at least one hit. The 25-year-old Moscow right fielder extended his streak as the Enforcers beat the Pago Pago Coconuts 9-2 at Enforcers Ballpark. A. Bennett grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and walked in the 9th.
This season in 19 games Bennett is batting .368 with 1 home run, 6 RBIs and has scored 7 times. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 13-13, .500 PCT | | Position in Division | 3rd, 4.0 GB | | Record at home | 3-4, .429 PCT | | Record on the road | 10-9, .526 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 1-1, .500 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 6-5, .545 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 3-2, .600 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 10-11, .476 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in April | 13-13, .500 PCT |
