Allegedly, Guillermo Salazar has asked to be traded from London. It is rumored that he is unhappy with fans and the team management and that maybe the pressure and demands of playing here are too great.

 | Saturday, August 11th, 2012: Martínez Hurls Masterpiece
The London Spitfires were almost helpless today in their 7-0 loss to Paris hurler Arturo Martínez. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 4-hit shutout.
The London manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Martínez. He kept us off balance all night."
Martínez said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way."
He had 2 walks and 3 strikeouts in a strong performance.
To date this season, Martínez has a record of 8 wins and 9 losses and a 4.45 ERA. He has appeared in 24 games and struck out 68 in 125.1 innings.

 | Wednesday, August 1st, 2012: London-Dublin Trade: Filiatrault for Warder
The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The London Spitfires sent 30-year old shortstop Émile Filiatrault to the Dublin Shamrocks for 18-year old minor league starting pitcher Mario García and 24-year old minor league reliever Brandon Warder.
Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.
This season Filiatrault is batting .249 with 1 home run. His totals include 26 RBIs and 46 runs scored.
