| Breaking News |  | Saturday, August 3rd, 2013: Sandoval Hot, Stars Cold In a sharp 4-hit performance, Juan Sandoval tossed the Chicago Black Sox to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Valencia Stars, fanning 5 and walking 2.
"That's as good a stuff as I've seen in a long time," the Valencia manager said in his postgame interview.
To date this season, Sandoval has a record of 9 wins and 3 losses and a 2.94 ERA. He has appeared in 21 games and struck out 130 in 141 innings. |  | Tuesday, July 16th, 2013: Medic! Enrique Soto Suffers Injury A blow for Enrique Soto today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 1-2 weeks with back spasms. Soto suffered the injury throwing the ball. Although officials from the Valencia Stars are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Soto's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.
In 2013 Soto has hit at a .268 clip with 78 hits, 7 home runs, 27 RBIs and has scored 53 times. |  | Monday, July 15th, 2013: Espinosa Records Shutout Against Gators Speaking after the game, the Valencia manager said, "Jesús Espinosa had everything going for him. He controlled their bat speed, stayed down, had a lot of movement... he had it all...masterful."
Espinosa held the Jackson Gators to 6 hits and fashioned a fine 10-0 shutout. He had no walks and 2 strikeouts in the game.
"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," the Jackson skipper told reporters.
