Mario Ruíz of the Las Vegas Hustlers strung a bunch of high quality starts together in July to earn the Monty Brewster Baseball Association Pitcher of the Month trophy.
For the month he finished with a superlative 6 wins and no losses and a 1.05 ERA. The Las Vegas star started 6 games, pitched 42.2 innings and struck out 34.
So far this year Ruíz has made 19 starts, tossed 123.1 innings, struck out 116 batters and walked 18. His record is 10-4 with a 2.34 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .227 batting average. |
 | Monday, July 29th, 2013: Monty Brewster Baseball Association Names Top Player
Tom Parkinson stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the Monty Brewster Baseball Association Player of the Week honors.
The Las Vegas left fielder ripped opposing pitchers for 13 hits in 24 at-bats and 1 home run. He put together a sizzling .542 batting average as he knocked in 5 runs and scored 3 times.
This year Parkinson is batting .283 with 16 home runs.

| Monday, July 8th, 2013: Potent Bat Pays Off, Parkinson Player of the Week
Tom Parkinson finds himself in the Monty Brewster Baseball Association spotlight today after his impossible-to-ignore performance last week. He carried the Las Vegas Hustlers on his shoulders, earning Monty Brewster Baseball Association Player of the Week honors.
The 32-year-old hit .476 (10-21) with 2 home runs and 7 RBI.
Thus far this year Parkinson is hitting .266 with 12 home runs, 46 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
