"That's as good a stuff as I've seen in a long time," the Valencia manager said in his postgame interview.

A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen everyday! He ripped Green Bay pitching apart at Black Sox Ballpark and sparked the Black Sox to a 15-9 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing up his special day 5-5.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Hernández told SION reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
R. Hernández hit a solo-shot off A. Shimizu in the 1st, hit a three-run triple in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off N. Lucas in the 7th.
This season Hernández has banged out 104 hits in 411 at-bats for a .253 average with 19 home runs. The right fielder put up some good offensive figures as he hit .363 with 11 home runs, 22 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
