Friday, July 12th, 2013: New York's Galló Demanding Trade?
It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that New York's Miguel Galló has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the third baseman may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment.

Monday, July 1st, 2013: Best MBBA Rookie Named, Nod to Saucedo
New York left fielder Roberto Saucedo snagged the Monty Brewster Baseball Association Rookie of the Month Award for June.

He posted a .445 batting average last month and collected 49 hits, no home runs and 7 RBIs.

Thus far this year Saucedo is hitting .403 with no home runs, 15 RBIs and 31 runs scored.

Saturday, June 15th, 2013: Valentín 5-6 for Long Beach
It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for Jaime Valentín -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage at Ballpark of Long Beach and paced the Surfers to a 9-7 win over the New York Knights.

After his dynamite batting performance the Long Beach catcher told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book.

J. Valentín singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and hit a solo-shot off P. Gálvez in the 14th.

Valentín is hitting .285 this season with 6 home runs, 32 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 57 hits in 200 at-bats.
