| Breaking News |  | Thursday, November 14th, 2013: Kajetan Baldato Named Premier MBBA Batsman
Baltimore's Kajetan Baldato put the wraps on a fine campaign today by winning the 2013 Monty Brewster Baseball Association Centrum Silver Slugger Award.
He scorched the opposition with a .327 average, picking up 182 hits, 27 doubles, 3 triples, 36 home runs and 118 RBIs, while scoring 95 runs, in what many would say has been one of the better seasons of the veteran's career.

 | Friday, November 1st, 2013: Sydney, Baltimore Confirm Swap
Today at a press conference the Sydney Roos announced a trade has been completed with the Baltimore Monarchs. The Roos have shipped 25-year old minor league closer Carlos González and 20-year old minor league reliever Ferid Chike to the Monarchs for 32-year old left fielder Nelson Rodríguez.
A check of his lifetime stats shows Rodríguez has played in 1034 games with a .305 batting average. Among his 1199 hits are 147 home runs. He also has scored 653 runs and driven in 667 runs.

 | Wednesday, July 31st, 2013: Monarchs-Diablos Rojos Swap: Saunders for Chochalek
Officials for the Baltimore Monarchs confirmed that they have traded 25-year old center fielder Paco Montaño, 23-year old left fielder Mitchell Saunders and 27-year old reliever Jeff Lester to the Mexico City Diablos Rojos. In return, the Monarchs will receive 24-year old third baseman Gerwazy Chochalek, 22-year old minor league right fielder Min-sik Im and 27-year old minor league right fielder Pablo Torres.
This season Saunders has hit at a .230 clip with 19 RBIs, 0 home runs and 26 runs scored.
In 19 games this season Chochalek is batting .195 with 8 hits and no home runs. He has scored 2 runs and driven in 1.
