 | Friday, September 28th, 2012: Yamamoto Tosses Shutout According to Yasutake Yamamoto of the Sparks Flyers, "There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location." He told his pitching philosophy to sportswriters in the postgame interview after his 3-0 victory over Bridgeport. He blanked them on a 1-hitter, allowed no walks and had 8 strikeouts. "I really felt comfortable the whole game," Yamamoto said. His manager echoed his comments, saying, "He hit his spots time and time again." In 11 starts this season Yamamoto has recorded a 5-5 record and a 2.72 ERA. |
