 | Thursday, August 9th, 2012: Honu Blanked by Elvin Speaking after the game, the Tomsk manager said, "Bill Elvin had everything going for him. He controlled their bat speed, stayed down, had a lot of movement... he had it all...masterful." Elvin held the North Shore Honu to 1 hit and fashioned a fine 6-0 shutout. He had 3 walks and 5 strikeouts in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," the North Shore skipper told reporters. This year Elvin has worked 39.1 innings with 17 strikeouts en route to a 3-2 record and a 2.75 ERA. |
