 | Friday, August 9th, 2013: Big Day with Bat, Jouda 5-6 Toichi Jouda had an answer for everything Rolling Meadows threw him today at Laurens Fields. In 5 at-bats he made good contact and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Laurens second baseman went 5 for 6 in the game to get his name in the record book. However, his great performance was not enough to produce a victory. His club, the Poorly Drawn Superman, took it on the chin 10-6 against the Mustangs. "I know you can't win 'em all," he said, "but it sure would have been nice to win this one. To get 5 hits and lose is just not the way it should be." T. Jouda singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and grounded out in the 10th. So far this season Jouda is batting .267 with no home runs. |
