 | Wednesday, July 25th, 2012: Suárez Gets 5 Hits Juan Suárez exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Rouen Grounds. The Rouen second baseman had a field day in the 15-1 triumph over the Bowling Green Spelunkers, finishing up with a 5-6 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Suárez must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. J. Suárez singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run double in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. In 2012 Suárez has put up a .326 batting average with 30 hits, no home runs and 7 RBIs. |
