But Michael Jones did just that today for the Raiders and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win. "I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 22-year-old third baseman said after his record-setting performance. M. Jones singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off R. Díaz in the 9th and singled in the 9th. This year Jones has hit 2 home runs and posted a .444 batting average. |
