 | Monday, April 29th, 2013: Hamdaan Bangs Out 5 Base Hits It was high-5 day at Chiefs Ballpark, at least for Yowen Hamdaan of the Langley Chiefs. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Glendale Gladiators. Hamdaan smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on a his record-setting day, leading his club to a 16-0 win. His manager said, "Yowen was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told SION beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Y. Hamdaan singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this year Hamdaan is hitting .359 with 1 home run, 21 RBIs and 20 runs scored. |
