 | Thursday, August 9th, 2012: Aragón On Fire! 5-6 for Saskatoon! On top of the Saskatoon hit parade today was Héctor Aragón. He went to the plate 6 times and tagged 5 hits, but it was Sendai that marched off with the 6-5 win. He certainly had their number at the plate in this record-making 5-6 performance, however the Swords marked it up in the victory column. The sweet swinging first baseman told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Pioneers griped to the press, "As a team, we just didn't do it with the bats. That's why we lost." H. Aragón singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 10th. Aragón is currently hitting at a .382 pace with no home runs and 5 RBIs. |
