 | Saturday, July 14th, 2012: Holbrook's Hernández Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Esteban Hernández put on a hitting clinic today as the Sailors dumped the Stickfigures 17-2 at Ballpark of Holbrook. The Holbrook center fielder sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Travelers Rest pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told SION reporters after the game, that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." E. Hernández singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 6th, hit an RBI triple in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off E. Bean in the 9th. This year Hernández is hitting .227 with 74 hits, 7 home runs, 42 RBIs and has scored 38 runs. |
