 | Tuesday, July 10th, 2012: Morín Pitches Gem against Holbrook Fernando Morín of Petaluma easily handled the Holbrook Sailors, stopping them on 5 hits and chucking a complete game 11-0 shutout. "He really did a job on us," said the Holbrook manager. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and pretty much confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us." Morín said, "Everything was working for me. Throwing my breaking stuff over the plate was big." He finished the game with 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in a solid outing. This season to date, Morín has fashioned a 8-6 mark and 3.95 ERA in 123 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .276 against him and he has logged 80 strikeouts. |
