 | Wednesday, June 27th, 2012: Galindo Batters Omaha Big Time! It was high-5 day at Superstars Ballpark, at least for Fernando Galindo of the Santa Monica Superstars. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Omaha Barnstormers. Galindo smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on a his record-setting day, leading his club to a 13-2 win. His manager said, "Fernando was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told SION beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." F. Galindo singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off A. González in the 8th. This season Galindo is batting .341 with 1 home run. His totals include 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |
