 | Friday, August 1st, 2014: July's Best Batter Announced For a rookie just breaking in, Geer Bekema certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the EL Batter of the Month award for July. The 23-year-old designated hitter for the Reno Big Littles hit .367 with 5 home runs, 27 RBIs and 20 runs scored. Presently Bekema is batting .331 and has collected 9 home runs, 77 RBIs, .369 OBP and scored 66 runs. |
