 | Tuesday, July 22nd, 2014: Martínez Tags Kielbasa 5 Hits The Tycoons whipped the Kielbasa 10-4 at Field of the Tycoons and Sergio Martínez had a big hand in the win. The Tycoons right fielder came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Martínez and a tough day for Kieice. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Martínez delivered today -- 5-5 is outstanding in any league. S. Martínez singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off J. Rosa in the 9th. In the 2014 campaign Martínez has hit at a .277 clip with 54 RBIs, 8 home runs and 27 runs scored. |
