 | Wednesday, July 16th, 2014: 5-Hit Barrage by Michel If the Alaska Sled Dogs know how best to pitch the Killarney shortstop Nordine Michel they didn't tip their hand today. Instead Michel showed he knew how best to hit them as he easily handled Sled Dogs pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Kingsmen to a 17-7 triumph at Kingsmen Ballpark. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Alaska skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we may just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." N. Michel doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. To date this season Michel is hitting .288 with no home runs. |
