 | Monday, July 14th, 2014: Ine Strokes 5 Hits On top of the Petaluma hit parade today was Yoritomo Ine. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Atheists to a 10-2 victory over the Davao Water Buffalos. The sweet swinging center fielder told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Water Buffalos wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Y. Ine hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off T. Hashimoto in the 8th. This year Ine has hit at a .337 clip with 69 RBIs, 11 home runs and 53 runs scored. |
