 | Wednesday, June 25th, 2014: Big Day for Vargas: Swats 5 Hits Manuel Vargas really sizzled at the plate in today's 12-5 win over Stickfigures. The Davao third baseman blistered Travelers Rest for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Vargas was too tough to get out today," the Stickfigures skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." M. Vargas singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off J. Loeve in the 8th.
