 | Saturday, June 14th, 2014: Morales on Fire, 5-5 Against Saskatoon All game long Long Island's Anastasio Morales was rattling the walls at Ballpark of Long Island and banging out base hits against the Saskatoon Pioneers. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Black Riders had a 12-0 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 23-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." A. Morales hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 7th. So far this season, Morales has recorded a .320 batting average with 77 hits, 4 home runs, 70 RBIs, 59 runs scored and a .386 OBP. |
